The Amarillo College Safety & Environmental Technology (SET) program teaches students to recognize and resolve health and safety, and environmental issues in the workplace. We can give you the training you need and teach you to handle situations ranging from hazardous chemical releases to air and water contamination.
You will learn:
- instruments and measures
- environmental toxicology
- hazardous waste and emergency response
- OSHA regulations
- environmental sampling and analysis
- health physics
- radioactive materials management
- environmental geology
AC can help you learn an Associate Degree in Applied Sciences or a Certificate of Completion. You can specialize in Hazardous Materials Technology, Industrial Hygiene or Environmental Chemical Technology.
