Amarillo College's Graphic Design program produces students that will both go directly into the workplace and transfer to four-year universities. All of our faculty members have worked as real graphic designers for at least three years.
You will learn:
- design
- drawing
- typography
- digital painting
- computer illustration
At AC, you can earn one of two Associate of Applied Science degrees: print or animation. You can also earn a Certificate of Completion by taking as few as ten classes.
The Print option concentrates on traditional graphic design for print media such as newspaper or magazine advertising or editorial design, brochures, outdoor advertising, etc. Graduates usually go to work in advertising agencies, design studios, in-house art departments or for the print media.
The Animation option concentrates on television, interactive game, instructional media, and motion pictures film industries for both entertainment and advertising. Graduates will usually work for animation studios, game developement companies, web design companies, video studios, motion picture studios, television stations, and special effects studios.
