The Transportation, Distribution and Logistics segment of industry deals with the flow of products and people from one place to another.

Transportation includes industries providing transportation of passengers and cargo, including goods, scenic and sightseeing transportation and support activities related to modes of transportation. The type of equipment depends on the mode of transportation. The modes of transportation are air, rail, water, road, and pipeline.

Distribution refers to the "middlemen" between manufacturer and consumer. After a product is manufactured, it may be warehoused or shipped to the next person in the supply chain, which is where distribution comes in.

Logistics is the management of the flow of goods information and other resources, including energy and people, between the point of origin and the point of consumption. Logistics involve the integration of information, transportation, inventory, warehousing, material-handling and packaging.
