Aviation Maintenance Technology

 

AC's Aviation Maintenance Technology program prepares and qualifies students to take all FAA Licensing Exams for airframe or powerplant certification.  You will get hands-on experience working on aircraft with operational engines, controls and hydraulics.  You will learn on running turbine/jet engines.

You will learn the following, plus much more:

  • Federal Aviation Regulations
  • ground operations
  • basic electricity
  • shop practices
  • wood, fabric and finishes
  • instruments and navigation/communication
  • airframe auxiliary systems
  • aircraft welding
  • hydraulic, pneumatic and fuel systems
  • landing gear systems
  • assembly and rigging

You man earn a two-year degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology or choose from one of three certificate programs.

Aviation Maintenance Technology - Aerospace Manufacturing Certificate

Aviation Maintenance Technology - Airframe Mechanic Certificate

Aviation Maintenance Technology - Powerplant Mechanic Certificate
